Monitoring

Rare Plants

MRC surveys all areas proposed for timber harvesting for habitat and occurrence of rare plants. This includes a field analysis as well a review of California Department of Fish and Game's California Natural Diversity Database. All rare plants likely to occur on our forestlands will be included in our Long-term Sustainable Forest Management Plan. MRC has prepared a rare plant survey handbook (PDF file size 8.8MB) with a photo appendix (PDF file size 2.3MB) for our resource staff to ensure that we accurately survey and document all rare plant occurrences. Please contact us if you'd like to reproduce or cite this handbook.
