The goal of MRC is to have at least two years of THPs approved or submitted prior to the end of any one calendar year. Having this backlog of plans allows for better coordination in several areas. MRC can work together with the logging contractors for smoother operations and better utilization of road systems. In addition, MRC wildlife biologists and fisheries biologists can plan ahead for cooperative restoration work, use of expensive equipment and expertise to survey and mitigate any impacts to sensitive areas.
