Government Agencies

(Revised 10/31/2002)

Various government agencies are charged with protecting the public interest, detecting infractions of rules and regulations, and deterring violations of rules and regulations. MRC works closely with each of the agencies charged with overseeing its activities. This helps to ensure that our practices meet or exceed all legal and regulatory requirements. Although not necessarily a complete list, MRC is regulated by:
  • U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service
  • U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
  • U.S. National Marine Fisheries Service
  • California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection
  • California Department of Fish and Game
  • California Department of Mines and Geology
  • Regional Water Quality Control Board
  • Mendocino County Planning Commission
  • Mendocino County Air Quality Management District
  • Mendocino County Agricultural Commissioner

MRC works aggressively with each of the agencies charged with overseeing its activities to ensure that it meets or exceeds all legal and regulatory requirements.
