Dear Sir—
This church will be without a Pastor [in April].
Mr. Rich will stay for a month or so if we fail
to find a man in so short a time.
The Congregation
have felt that they could not raise more than $1000
next year so that is all we can offer at present.
At the annual meeting, the last of this month, some
arrangement may be made about a Parsonage, but of
course that is only a question.
We wrote to you
asking your advise and help in finding another Pastor
to this church. In a letter to Mr. Rich you mentioned
Mr. McBride. We feel that we are acquainted with
him as he has been here. If he wants to come here
at the salary offered the congregation could give
him a call without putting him to the trouble of
coming here to preach on trial.
Any advise or help
you can give will be considered a favor by us.
