Aquatic Conditions

MRC and HRC both have key aquatic resources which are tracked through various monitoring programs. Both companies complete watershed analysis on their major streams and rivers to assess baseline aquatic conditions.

Mendocino Redwood Company, LLC

MRC focuses its other monitoring efforts on understanding the distribution and habitat of sensitive aquatic species such as coho and steelhead, red-legged frogs, and tailed frogs. For more detailed results of these monitoring efforts, please see the following reports:

Humboldt Redwood Company, LLC

Meanwhile, HRC focuses its monitoring efforts on in-stream conditions, constructed and re-constructed road sites on stream crossings, and overall watershed conditions including landslide monitoring.
