Inventory Technician
Work Location: Ukiah

SUMMARY
Collect field data relating to forest inventory stocks. Analyzes data and prepares reports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Collects field data and prepares general inventory reports;
- Analyzes data and prepares inventory reports for special projects and requests;
- Plans locations and prepares maps for use in data collection;
- Organizes and completes projects for the department
- Interpret aerial photographs to determine timber types and other forest attributes.
- Design specific maps as requested using GIS software.
- Maintain and update Access databases.

Must carry a valid California Driver's License and be eligible to operate a company vehicle off-road under company policy guidelines.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of database, spreadsheet, word processing, Internet, and ESRI Arc View software.
