SUMMARY
Rebuilds, maintains and repairs MRC vehicles, trailers, ATV's and NRD heavy equipment and trucks, under the direction of the Head Mechanic. Operate heavy trucks, hand tools, shop equipment and forklifts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Maintains and repairs MRC vehicles including trucks, ATV's, trailers, and NRD equipment.
- Performs preventative maintenance on vehicles, including checking fluid levels, changing the oil, and checking tire pressures. Adds fluids and changes tires as needed.
- May cut, braze, weld and fabricate.
- Operates heavy trucks, tools, equipment, booms and forklifts.
- Reviews maintenance records of MRC vehicles.
- Maintains service and repair records.
- Cleans up shop and surrounding area daily.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of software.
